Apartments/Dormitories

The SMC apartments are two story apartment-style dormitories. Most of the guests of the apartments are visiting students and scientists who are currently working on projects at the SMC, Alaska Sealife Center and the Alutiiq Pride Shellfish Hatchery. In addition to the apartments, the dormitory complex has a atrium style study room overlooking the SMC facilities and the Resurrection Bay.

The SMC apartments have two bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. No single rooms are available. The apartments are furnished with one queen bed and two single beds, desks, draperies, closets, and lamps. Linens and cleaning services are provided once a week. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessities and appliances. Guests must provide their own dish and laundry soaps and toiletries.

The facility is located in the downtown district of Seward and is in close proximity to many restaurants, shopping stores and the Seward Marine Center main facility.

Rates for the apartments are subject to change but are as follows:

• Summer Rate (April 1 ~ September 30)
  • $65.00 per night/person
  • $250.00 per night/apartment
• Winter Rate (October 1 ~ March 31)
  • $50.00 per night/person
  • $150.00 per night/person
