A Photo of Bodil Bluhm

Bodil Bluhm is Research Professor at SFOS. Her main research interests are:

  • Benthic and sea ice community ecology and biodiversity
  • Trophic interactions and population dynamics of polar marine invertebrates
  • Arctic ecosystem synthesis
  • Arctic shelf and deep sea habitats

Eric Collins is Assistant Professor at SFOS. His main research interests are:

  • marine microbiology
  • bioinformatics
  • genomics and metagenomics
  • microbial ecology
  • sea ice biology

Hajo Eicken

Hajo Eicken is Professor of Geophysics at IARC/GI at UAF. His main research interests are in the field of sea-ice geophysics. In particular, I am interested in how small-scale properties and (micro)structure of sea ice impact processes on a larger scale as well as the role of sea ice in the climate system.

Gradinger

Rolf Gradinger is a Professor at SFOS. He is interested in the dynamics of microbial communities in polar seas with most of his recent work focusing on the structuring role of sea ice for biological processes in Arctic waters. He participated in SBI, BEST/BSIERP and the Arctic Ocean Diversity projects focused on the ice-based microbial food web and the coupling of sea ice, pelagic and benthic realms in Arctic waters. His full publication list can be found on Google Scholar.
