The Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program (MAP) bridges the gap between the local users of Alaska's marine resources and the scientist who study those resources. With 15 coastal agents and specialists in communities across the state, MAP is the extension arm of Alaska Sea Grant and the UAF school of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.
COSEE Alaska: People, Oceans and Climate Change
The newest center in the national network of centers for ocean sciences education excellence, aimed at helping ocean scientists reach broad audiences with their research, and weaving together traditional knowledge and western science to share place-based knowledge of ocean climate change in the north.
