SFOS research in Alaska magazine

The July 2002 issue of Alaska magazine features a cover story about the decline of Alaska's Steller sea lions and researcher's efforts to understand and perhaps reverse the decline. The article features several SFOS scientists including Kate Wynne, Mike Castellini, Amy Hirons, Brenda Konar, Bob Foy, Loren Buck, Alan Springer, as well as researchers from Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and the National Marine Fisheries Service.

The article was written by Doug Schneider, science writer at Alaska Sea Grant. This is his second feature for Alaska magazine. An article on climate change impacts on Alaska appeared in the October 2001 issue.
