Teaching

KSMSC faculty support graduate students and teach in the undergraduate fisheries program. Most graduate students working out of KSMSC are enrolled in the fisheries master's degree program.

Kate Wynne, MAP faculty at KSMSC, also advises graduate students studying marine mammals via the marine biology master's and Ph.D. program. If you are interested in graduate studies with any of the KSMSC faculty, please contact them directly for information about opportunities.

Kodiak faculty also jointly teach, Fish F261: Introduction to Fisheries Utilization. This is a distance-delivered class, available statewide, and is a requirement for the BA degree in Fisheries. Learn more by finding the course in the UAF Course Finder or contact the lead instructor, Dr. Scott Smiley at stsmiley@alaska.edu or at 907-486-1513.
