Dr. Donald Hood Memorial Scholarship
This fellowship provides a small stipend to students studying Marine Science in the Institute of Marine Science at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Donald Hood, director of the Institute of Marine Science at UAF from 1965-1976. His research focused on the Bering Sea. He contributed to nine books and more than 100 professional articles. He died in April 2002 and this memorial scholarship was established for students in Marine Sciences at UAF.
