MARINE MAMMALS

Steller sea lions   Whales   Harbor Seals

Marine mammals make up an integral part of the GAP study. Most marine mammal species represent significant consumers within a marine ecosystem. Research is currently being conducted on Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and several whale species in areas such as diet, distribution, productivity, and abundance.

Want to support whale research in western Alaska? Purchase the official "Humpback Whales of Western Alaska" poster for only $10 (plus S&H). The poster is high gloss black and white and is 2' x 3'.
