Community Development Quota (CDQ) Groups

Community Development Quota (CDQ) Groups are regional organizations that have the goal of promoting fisheries related economic development in the state. There are six CDQ groups in the state that serve a number of different communities (65 in total) in Western Alaska:

Bristol Bay Economic Development Corporation
Aleutian Pribilof Island Development Corporation
Coastal Villages Region Fund
Yukon Delta Fisheries Development Association
Central Bering Sea Fisheries Association
Norton Sound Economic Development Corporation

These groups participate in the CDQ Program. This program works to provide opportunities for economically disadvantaged communities in western Alaska to develop stable local economics based upon the fishing industry. Go here to read more.
