Graduate student applications are requested from individuals interested in pursuing the M.S. degree at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).

Through the UAF Graduate School, we offer an interdisciplinary degree program in Seafood Science.

Starting in January 2009, three USDA-CSREES funded projects along with tuition waivers will support three graduate students for a period of two years. The thesis research projects will be conducted at the Fishery Industrial Technology Center in Kodiak, AK. Courses are provided on-site, on-campus or via videoconferencing.

The FITC mission of assisting the Alaska seafood industry encompasses seafood processing, quality control, seafood safety, and new technology / product development.

Application forms are available on-line. Undergraduate transcripts, Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores and a minimum of three letters of recommendation are required in the application.
