Research Overview

My research interests focus on "source to sink" processes. I am interested in knowing more about the production, transport and delivery of sediment and nutrients from the terrestrial landscape to the deep ocean. I incorporate geochemistry, geochronology, and mineralogy with quantitative geomorphic analysis methods that involve field study (on and offshore), digital topography and GIS datasets. From these data and analytical tools, I develop conceptual and physically based models that reveal linkages between surface processes, climate, ecosystems, and tectonics.
