General Guidelines for Annual Reports
Annual reports are due in the middle of September of each year of your project. The reports describe the progress and significant findings of each study funded by MMS.
The preferred length of annual reports is not more than 15 single-spaced pages, using 1-inch margins and 12 point Times New Roman. Longer reports will be accepted, but should be concise. Please don’t embed figures or tables into the text, but rather, include the figures, tables (gif, jpeg, high ppi pdf) and captions (Word) in separate files. Indicate in the body of the text where the figures and tables should be placed.
Annual Reports require the following information:
- Project Title
- PI (and report author) name(s), address and email address
- Task Order number
- Abstract
Additional information can include:
- Introduction
- Background
- Objective/hypothesis

- Figures, tables, maps (in PDF or GIF format)
- Table of Acronyms (if needed)
- Future plans
- Summary
- Discussion
