*Please note that these deadline dates are approximate and may vary by a few days each year. Please check with the SFOS Academic Programs Office the semester you plan to graduate for the current semester's deadlines. Also, if any one of these deadlines fall on a Saturday, Sunday, or University holiday, the deadline will be on the first working day thereafter.

Fall DEADLINES*
Application for Advancement to Candidacy Form due to Graduate School	October 15th
Application for Fall graduation due to Registrar (include $20.00 fee)	October 15th
Post-defense thesis due to Fisheries Director	November 5th
Post-defense thesis due to GPMSL Chair (along with Research Competence Form)	November 5th
Post-defense thesis due to SFOS Dean	November 12th
Thesis due to Graduate School (with thesis submittal form and binding receipt)	December 3rd

Spring DEADLINES*
Application for Advancement to Candidacy Form due to Graduate School	February 15th
Application for Spring graduation Due to Registrar ($20 application fee)	February 15th
Post-defense thesis due to Fisheries Director	March 3rd
Post-defense thesis due to GPMSL Chair (along with Research Competence Form)	March 3rd
Post-defense thesis due to SFOS Dean	March 17th
Thesis due to Graduate School (with thesis submittal form and binding receipt)	April 7th

Summer DEADLINES*
Application for Advancement to Candidacy Form due to Graduate School	July 15th
Application for Summer graduation due to Registrar (include $20.00)	July 15th
Post-defense thesis due to Fisheries Director	June 27th
Post-defense thesis due to GPMSL Chair (along with Research Competence Form)	June 27th
