Description
A study of the biology of the major plant and animal groups in the sea and their roles in pelagic and benthic systems. Physical, chemical, and geological features affecting marine organisms. The role of bacteria in the sea. The basic biology and adaptations of selected species of zooplankton and nekton. The benthos -- shore biota, shelf and deep- sea organisms: basic biology, trophic roles, and adaptations of selected species.
