Description
This course will explore the diversity of reproductive strategies and larval forms in marine organisms, and learn what these attributes tell us about the evolutionary history of teh major marine phyla. Topics include: larval ecology and evolution; environmental constraints on early life-histories; sources of larval mortality; dispersal and recruitment. Emphasis will be placed on invertebrates, but other marine organisms will also be discussed where appropriate.
